Today, the Forum “SEZ: Opportunities and Prospects for Business in the New Conditions” began its work in Vitebsk. Among the honored guests of the event is Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Viktor Galanov.
The forum is an expert platform for discussing current issues of development of SEZ in the Republic of Belarus, opportunities for foreign investors in the new economic conditions, promising industries for investment, as well as stimulating investment initiatives and interaction with government agencies.
In his welcoming speech to the participants of the event, Viktor Galanov noted that free economic zones with special business regimes have been key points of attraction for investments for the creation of modern export-oriented and import-substituting industries for 25 years now, maintain positive interest in the Belarusian economy, and in the current difficult conditions continue to be an effective tool for the accelerated development of the regions of Belarus.
The Forum included a ceremonial event to mark the 25th anniversary of the Vitebsk SEZ and an award ceremony for its resident companies.
For significant contribution and effective assistance in the implementation of state policy in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, the Deputy Minister presented certificates of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus to the limited liability company “Allianceplast” and the joint limited liability company “FORTEX-WATER TECHNOLOGIES”.
