The staff of the Center took part in the flower-laying ceremony as part of the campaign “Belarus remembers. We remember everyone.”

On the eve of Victory Day, Director Alexander Bulak and the staff of the Center, as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, took part in a solemn flower-laying ceremony at the Trostenets memorial complex as part of the campaign “Belarus Remembers. We remember everyone.”

The event included a tour of the complex, where participants were told about the history of this place, they honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence and solemnly laid flowers at the memorial.

The Trostenets camp was one of the largest concentration camps during the Second World War. Located in the occupied territory of Nazi Germany, it became a place of mass extermination of millions of people. People here were mistreated by the Nazi occupiers, many died of starvation, disease and physical abuse.

After the war, a memorial dedicated to the memory of the victims was created on the territory of the Trostenets camp.

Victory Day is not only a day of remembrance, it is also a day of pride for our country and its exploits. He reminds us of the steadfastness and heroism of our ancestors, how people were ready to sacrifice their lives for peace and freedom. We must remember their exploits, passing on the memory of them to the next generations.
