The Polesie Nature Reserve is expanding markets for its products: the first batch of ornamental plant seedlings went on sale at gas station No. 17 in Gomel

In order to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on the further development of the state environmental research institution “Polesie State Radiation and Ecological Reserve”, the organization, along with other areas of activity, pays great attention to nursery farming – growing planting material, including ornamental plants.
Thus, last spring, the institution purchased 4 greenhouses with an automated irrigation system of overhead micro-sprinkler irrigation at its own expense, brought in special nutrient soil and necessary fertilizers, planted green cuttings of various ornamental species, such as thuja, juniper, cypress, boxwood and others. Currently, more than 150 thousand ornamental plants of the above species are grown in the greenhouses.
The products that the reserve demonstrated at various exhibitions at both regional and national levels were in great demand among the population. And, as a natural result, a decision was made to increase the volume of its sales.
In order to expand sales markets, the Polesie Reserve Directorate launched a “pilot” project to sell seedlings of ornamental plants of various species and ages at Gomel filling stations. The first was filling station No. 17 “Belorusneft-Gomeloblnefteprodukt” in the agro-town of Eremino. Today, the first batch of products was delivered here.
Now anyone can see the reserve’s products on site and purchase this undoubtedly high-quality product for their own needs.
