In order to form an environmental culture and to cultivate a caring attitude towards nature in the younger generation of citizens, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, together with its territorial bodies, holds an annual republican competition for the best children’s drawing on environmental topics.
Pupils of pre-school education institutions, students of general secondary education institutions and additional education of children and youth in two age groups are invited to participate in the event: from 3 to 5 years old and from 6 to 10 years old.
The competition accepts works completed during 2024 in any technique, including applique, reflecting a caring attitude towards nature, the preservation of biological and landscape diversity, environmental protection and sustainable use of natural resources. Works are submitted in color on sheets of A4 to A1 format.
Each work is accompanied by an information sheet of the competition participant indicating the name of the educational institution, surname, first name and age of the author, postal address and contact phone number.
Persons who decide to take part in the competition must submit their work by February 1 of the current year, to the district offices ,city, city and district inspections of natural resources and environmental protection and the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection with the note “For the republican competition for the best children’s drawing on environmental topics” by February 1 of the current year.
The results will be announced from February 1 to May 1 in 3 stages:
- from February 1 to March 1 – determination of the best works at the district and city levels;
- from March 2 to April 1 – elections of winners at the regional stage;
- from April 2 to May 1 – determination of the best works at the republican level.
