The main purpose of the visit was to meet with the reserve staff and hold a single information day on the topic: “Elections of deputies 2024: arguments and facts.”
The event was held in an expanded format with the participation of the head of the territorial body of the Ministry of Natural Resources for the Gomel region Alexey Kuzmenko, deputy chairman of the Khoyniki district executive committee Anatoly Gura, chief specialists, heads of departments and the management of the institution.
Opening the meeting, the Minister noted that one of the key topics of today’s meeting is dedicated to a significant, fateful event for the republic – a single voting day, held in Belarus for the first time and scheduled for February 25 of this year.
“In our country, everything has been done to ensure that every citizen can independently and freely decide who deserves their vote in the elections,” noted the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Andriy Khudyk emphasized that being a deputy is not a privilege, but a responsible job that places high demands on the professional and life experience of the candidate for a deputy mandate, his authority in society, and competence in matters of state structure.
“Coming to the polling station and making your choice is not only the duty and responsibility of each of us, but it is also a loud “NO” to public confrontation, “Maidan” and chaos in our country,” the head of the department said. “It is impossible not to cast your vote – too much responsibility for the future lies with each of us.”
In conclusion, the Minister expressed confidence that political wisdom, national unity and the desire to live in a peaceful country will allow Belarusians to make the right choice, and called for active participation in the single voting day of each employee of the institution.
In continuation of the meeting, Director Alexei Tishkovets spoke with a report on the results of the reserve’s work in 2023 and the tasks for the current one. Summarizing the information presented, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources gave a satisfactory assessment of the organization’s activities and thanked the staff of the institution for their work.
During his stay in the reserve, the Minister made a full tour of its territory and inspected a number of the institution’s facilities. During a visit to the organization’s central administrative base in the city of Khoyniki, the head of the environmental protection agency familiarized himself with the work of the new modernized woodworking shop and held a conversation with workers on issues of working conditions and wages.
The head of the Ministry of Natural Resources also visited a nursery with forest-forming and ornamental plants and an arboretum located in the former settlement of Babchin, where both the main forest-forming species (pine, oak, birch) and ornamental plants of various types (thuja, juniper, cypress) are grown in open ground and greenhouses.
