This draft Law proposes to amend the current Subsoil Code in order to improve the regulation of activities in the field of subsoil use.
The introduction of amendments to the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Subsoil is due to:
the need to update its provisions taking into account the practice of law enforcement in order to eliminate uncertainties, ambiguous interpretation, as well as the need for consistency with legislative acts;
by clarifying the competence of the Ministry of Natural Resources to issue conclusions on the presence (absence) of an explored mineral deposit within the boundaries of the requested land plot, maintaining the state cadastre of subsoil, establishing the form of submission of departmental reports on the performance of geological exploration and the increase in mineral reserves.
