Instructional classes on the topic “The impact of accidents, traffic violations” were held today at the Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise, Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Ministry of Natural Resources (hereinafter – the Center). The classes were held as part of the World Labor Protection Day.
With the onset of spring, the number of motorcyclists, cyclists, and users of personal mobility devices has increased in Minsk.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Kirill Leonidovich Butkevich, head of the traffic police department of the Partizansky district of Minsk, told the staff of the Center about what is important to know and observe.
Kirill Leonidovich spoke about the state of accidents on the city’s roads, recalled the main causes contributing to accidents, emphasizing the inadmissibility of driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He drew attention to the need for drivers and passengers to use seat belts, to comply with speed limits and responsibility for violations. Special attention is paid to the rules of use of mobile vehicles, such as electric scooters, bicycles, etc.

The video, which was demonstrated by the head of the traffic police department, clearly reflected the importance of observing traffic rules.

The Center’s employees took an active part in the discussion, discussed changes and innovations in legislation, and shared their life experiences. Kirill Leonidovich answered all the questions and explained the rules of traffic regulations, recalling the most important rule for children and parents during the summer holidays – it’s safety on the road!
At the end of the meeting, Kirill Leonidovich reminded that all road users, both the driver and the pedestrian, are responsible both for their lives and for the lives of people around them.
