The World Heritage Committee is one of the governing bodies of the UNESCO Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. It is responsible for ensuring that States Parties properly implement their international obligations under this treaty.
During its annual sessions, the Committee decides on the inclusion of sites on the World Heritage List, as well as on the removal from the list if the state on whose territory the site is located does not take the necessary measures to ensure its preservation.
The 46th session will examine proposals for the inscription of 27 sites on the World Heritage List and the state of conservation of 124 sites already inscribed on the World Heritage List and the List of World Heritage in Danger.
The delegation of the Republic of Belarus plans to take part in the discussion of the issue of preserving the transboundary UNESCO World Heritage Site Belovezhskaya Pushcha, and will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.
