The topic of tidying up is always relevant, regardless of the season and circumstances. This is not a one-time action, but a daily systematic work, a painstaking and labor-intensive process.
Starting from October 25, 2024, territorial bodies of the Ministry of Natural Resources throughout the country will conduct control and analytical measures to identify spontaneous dumps in forest areas, near garden associations, roads, reservoirs, and recreation areas.
Last weekend, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, its territorial bodies, with the participation of the First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Alexander Korbut, conducted about 200 control and analytical measures aimed at eliminating unauthorized dumps. During these measures, forest fund territories, along the right-of-way of highways, as well as lands adjacent to dacha cooperatives, gardening associations, water bodies and recreation areas were inspected.
The work resulted in the identification of about 1,100 violations of environmental legislation. As of October 28, 2024, 165 unauthorized waste disposal sites have been eliminated. In the remaining cases, the necessary response measures have been taken, and control over the elimination of violations remains with the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Such work to identify and prevent violations is carried out on a systematic basis with special attention in the spring and autumn period, when citizens actively visit recreation areas and summer cottages.
Thus, since the beginning of the year, territorial bodies of the Ministry of Natural Resources have conducted about 5 thousand control measures, during which more than 18 thousand places of unauthorized waste disposal were identified. For the identified violations, 455 guilty persons were brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine for a total of more than 900 thousand rubles. Preventive administrative measures in the form of a warning were applied to 1,269 guilty persons. Work in this direction continues.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection calls on citizens to report cases of unauthorized waste disposal and to actively participate in environmental protection activities. Each of us can contribute to preserving nature for future generations. These efforts are important not only for protecting the environment, but also for improving the quality of life of citizens. By maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas, we create comfortable conditions for citizens to relax and improve their health.
