On October 10, 2024 an open dialogue on the topic “Ecology as the basis of life” with participants of the “Minsk Shift” project was held at the capital’s velodrome.
Among the experts of the discussion: Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Sergey Maslyak, Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Ecology and Nature Management of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Zhanna Chernyavskaya, Chairman of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Valentin Shatravko. The discussion was moderated by Deputy Chairperson of the Minsk City Committee of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Tatyana Dubik.
The invited guests talked to the youth about the importance of ecology in human life, about the features of the Minsk ecosystem, and how caring people can help preserve a clean and green city.
Ecology is present everywhere in our lives. The higher the GDP and the more goods we produce, the more attention should be paid to environmental issues. I am pleased that today many organizations are following the path of a “green” economy, when they either have no waste, or when the waste of one enterprise can become material for the production of products of another. It is very important when, along with such words as innovation, export orientation, import substitution, another one appears in our everyday life – environmental friendliness, – Sergey Maslyak noted.
