Today, at the state educational institution “Secondary School No. 161 of Minsk”, festive events were held on the occasion of Knowledge Day, the beginning of the new academic year and the opening of specialized engineering classes in the direction of “Fundamentals of rational use of natural resources and protection of natural resources” for grades X of educational institutions.
The Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Sergey Maslyak, greeted those gathered and congratulated them on Knowledge Day.
“Guys, it is you who will take over the baton from our generation, build houses, grow bread, do everything so that our independent country develops successfully. It is thanks to your merits that it will become even more beautiful. Learn, be proud of the land on which you live,” the Minister said.
Sergey Maslyak expressed gratitude to the school management for supporting the initiative of the Ministry of Natural Resources. This year, specialized engineering classes under the curriculum “Fundamentals of Rational Nature Management and Protection of Natural Resources” will be opened in four secondary education institutions of the capital, including school No. 161. The Minister presented the director with a certificate for 4 thousand rubles for the development of a new direction and the purchase of equipment for the biology room.
In the engineering-focused classes 10 “A” and 10 “B”, Sergei Maslyak held the first lesson dedicated to the Year of Quality and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders on the topic: “We have something to be proud of, we have something to protect!” During the conversation, the achievements of the Belarusian people and the values that are important to preserve for the sake of the future were discussed.
