Republican Action Plan for the Year of Quality has been approved in Belarus

The Republican Action Plan for the Year of Quality has been approved in Belarus. This is provided for by Government Resolution No. 41 of January 16, 2024.

The document provides for 69 events aimed at strengthening the economic potential of Belarus, ensuring quality indicators through stimulating initiative, forming personal civic responsibility for achieving a high quality of life, and information support for the Year of Quality. Their goals, mechanisms, and implementation deadlines, as well as responsible executors, are also defined.

It is planned to participate in the legislative support of the Year of Quality (preparation and adoption of a number of laws), improve the procedure for customs administration, expand the network of technology and innovation support centers and improve their activities, including through the development of an electronic platform for interaction between participants in this network.
In addition, the plan provides for increasing the coverage of forest resources with automated video surveillance systems for the timely detection of forest fires, re-equipping and modernizing production facilities, maintaining high quality public roads, developing the functionality of the portal for rating organizations providing services, ensuring the life of the population and (or) implementing administrative procedures, and popularizing it, introducing and widely holding competitions for innovators, rationalization ideas, professional excellence, ensuring the work of public reception offices to accept proposals from the population to improve the quality of life and services provided.
Also, in the Year of Quality, it is planned to expand the use of potential natural healing resources by introducing new types of medical services and programs of spa treatment in all health resort organizations, and expanding the practice of using additional pension insurance programs.
This year, measures will be taken to improve the quality of life in rural areas through the implementation of a set of measures aimed at creating comfortable conditions for the life and residence of citizens in rural areas, the development of modern social, engineering and transport infrastructure that ensures established standards of quality of life.
The plan of activities, among other things, provides for the development of a concept for preparing individuals with special psychophysical development needs for work, family life, their socialization and integration into society.
On the websites of government agencies, regional executive committees, the Minsk City Executive Committee, and educational institutions, sections “Year of Quality” will be created with subsequent posting of information about events dedicated to the Year of Quality, and thematic reviews will also be published on social networks.
In addition, the plan includes the production and retail sale of a thematic clothing collection (merch) dedicated to famous brands of the domestic industry, as well as the organization of a ceremony to award the State Quality Mark.
The State Committee for Standardization is authorized to coordinate the activities of government agencies and other organizations in implementing the plan.
The resolution came into force on January 16 of this year.
