The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection informs that, based on subparagraph 1.3 of paragraph 1 of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated March 7, 2023 No. 170 “On measures to ensure the protection of the ozone layer and climate”, paragraph 6 and part one of paragraph 7 of the Regulation on the procedure for distributing quantitative restrictions on the import of ozone-depleting substances into the Republic of Belarus, approved by this resolution, by order of the First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated November 14, 2024 No. 376-OD, quantitative restrictions were distributed by establishing quotas for legal entities on the import of ozone-depleting substances into the Republic of Belarus in the first and second half of 2025.
The approval of applications for obtaining licenses and the issuance of conclusions (permitting documents) to legal entities for the import of ozone-depleting substances into the Republic of Belarus in 2025 will be carried out by the Ministry of Natural Resources, taking into account the distributed quantitative restrictions.
At the same time, we draw attention to the fact that, in accordance with paragraph 9 of the said Regulation, if circumstances arise that prevent the use of quotas (liquidation of a legal entity, refusal of consumers of ozone-depleting substances to use them, and other circumstances), the importer shall inform the Ministry of Natural Resources in writing within ten working days from the date of occurrence of such circumstances.
