Every year on October 4, World Animal Day is celebrated. This day is not just a holiday that calls for humane treatment of all living beings, but a reminder that they need our protection and care.
In the Republic of Belarus, various events are held dedicated to this day and aimed at instilling in people a sense of responsibility for all living things on the planet.
The most widely used document in the field of nature conservation is the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus, which contains a list of rare and endangered species (including subspecies) of wild animals in Belarus.
Careful attitude towards nature, preservation of forests, clean water bodies and air is the basis for peaceful coexistence of all forms of life on the planet. This is what everyone can do.
This date should once again remind people of one of the wonderful human qualities – mercy, which should also extend to our “lesser brothers”. Animal Protection Day is an opportunity to remember our common responsibility for preserving the animal world of our planet!
