Mobility Week is taking place in the capital

Mobility Week in Minsk is held from September 16 to 22 and reminds us of the importance of reducing harmful emissions into the atmosphere, most of which come from cars. This week’s events focus on the negative impact of cars on the environment and encourage people to use alternative modes of transportation.
Visitors will be able to see an exhibition of electric transport, undergo training in driving an electric scooter, ride a unicycle and purchase eco-goods and eco-products. The initiatives “Green Schools”, “Green Classes of the Belarusian Capital”, “Ecodar” and others will also present their projects. Visitors will be able to visit a petting zoo, learn figure riding on a bicycle, participate in quizzes, quests and competitions, as well as do face painting.
The final event at 20:00 will be a race on environmentally friendly transport with festive lighting along the route Kazimirovskaya Street – Kamennogorskaya Street – Lyutsinskaya Street – Kolesnikova Street.
In addition, on September 22, the capital will offer a discount on the rental of rank bicycles and electric scooters from the companies “Ileven” and “Vush”.
This year, according to the decision of the Minsk City Council of Deputies, in connection with the “Car-Free Day” campaign on September 22, the State Enterprise “Minsktrans” and the State Enterprise “Minsk Metro” will not charge a fee for travel on public transport and in the metro if the passenger has a driver’s license and a vehicle registration certificate.
We invite Minsk residents and guests of the capital to join the celebration of Car Free Day and Mobility Week!
