Ecotourism is a powerful educational tool for disseminating information about ecotourism sites and services, increasing the level of understanding among the population of the value of the natural heritage of their native land.
There are no high mountains or seas in Belarus, but it is rich in picturesque landscapes, dense forests, blue rivers and lakes, and unique marshlands.
As of January 1 of this year, there are 1,354 protected areas in the republic on an area of 1.9 million hectares (9.1% of the total area of the country). It is in these locations that you can fully contemplate the unique natural beauty of the Belarusian land.

The event is held from April 18 to 20 in the capital’s multi-profile cultural and sports complex “Minsk-Arena” in the building of the speed skating stadium. This is the largest tourism exhibition of Belarus in the category “Tourism and recreation”. In addition, it is an international business platform for countries, regions and tourism companies from all over the world that present products and services on the Belarusian market.
This year, more than 300 exhibitors are taking part in the exhibition. Among the participating countries are Belarus, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Palestine, Cuba, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Russia. For the first time, all 118 regions of our country are represented at the exhibition. Also, 27 regions of the Russian Federation are participating in the event.
Teams from three reserves – “Ozery” (Grodno district), “Osveysky” (Verkhnedvinsky district) and “Krasny Bor” (Rossonsky district) – will present their experience in providing ecotourism services. These protected areas have been actively developing “green” tourism for the last few years, offering travelers vacation options that allow them to discover protected areas of Belarus without harming wildlife.
During the implementation of the specified project, the MTP reserves significantly expanded their lists of ecotourism services: unique routes using “green” transport were developed, various innovative practices for this area were introduced (for example, glamping sites appeared in “Ozery”, excursions to the local “wild” island appeared in “Osveysky”), etc.
For three days, at the demonstration stand, you can get acquainted with the diversity of ecotourism services of the reserves, exchange experiences with colleagues, and also send a promotional postcard with a view of the protected area you like to any point in Belarus.
