Environmental education: “Recreation without harming nature” for children of the Yubileiny health camp

Today, for children vacationing in the Yubileiny health camp (Rakov village, Volozhinsky district), the Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise, Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the Ministry of Natural Resources held an informational and educational event as part of the campaign “Recreation without harm to nature”, the goals of which are to educate environmental culture and motivate the younger generation to actively participate in separate waste collection in everyday life.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the need to follow simple rules when organizing outdoor recreation, with a call to the children:
The children expanded the range of their healthy habits. They remembered the rules of conduct in the forest, on water bodies, which will not harm nature, but will help make our country cleaner and more beautiful!
The Center’s staff also held a quiz on the topic of “Separate Waste Collection.”
During the quiz, participants learned about waste sources, their types, recycling methods, and were convinced of the need to sort waste.
Conducting environmental events among the younger generation not only promotes the activation of cognitive activity, the development of fantasy and imagination of children, but is also a step towards training future specialists for the environmental protection industry.
