The event took place within the framework of the implementation of the international technical assistance project “Development of Ecotourism to Promote a Green Transition to Inclusive and Sustainable Growth”, coordinated by the Ministry of Natural Resources in partnership with UNDP with financial support from the Russian Federation.
For five days (from February 5 to 9 of this year), senior officials and specialists from specially protected natural areas (SPNA) and territorial bodies of the environmental protection agency delved into issues of organizing, developing and promoting ecotourism at the local level.
The course participants received a general idea of what is happening in the sphere of Belarusian ecotourism – from legal aspects of regulation, current status to the possibilities of protected areas in this area. The participants also learned about practical tools that help develop this area of activity, and got acquainted with the algorithms that can be relied upon when organizing ecotourism.
