Ceremony of presenting the “For Spiritual Revival” Prize and special Presidential prizes

Alexander Lukashenko: “Peace is the most important value, and Belarus knows its value.”

On January 9 of this year, the annual landmark event took place in the Palace of the Republic – the ceremony of presenting the Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus “For Spiritual Revival”, special prizes for cultural and artistic figures and “Belarusian Spartan Alim”.

“As before, on these bright holidays, we meet to thank people who selflessly serve their people and country. We are summing up the cultural and spiritual life of the past year. It brought to this stage unusually talented, sensitive, sincerely devoted Belarusians. Including thanks to them, we have achieved the goals set for the Year of Peace and Creation. Thus, we have become spiritually stronger and even more confident. Especially against the backdrop of the events that are happening around us,” the Head of State noted.

“It is obvious to us: peace is the most important value. For any nation, especially the Belarusian one. Because we know its value,” the Belarusian leader said.

He noted that the projects “The Last Witnesses” and “Genocide Without the Right to Life” are a tribute to the memory of innocent victims and heroes of the Great Patriotic War: “Today we thank the authors of our prosecutor’s office, the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, the National State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, who have experienced all the pain and suffering of the people of war. These films are a chronicle of terrible crimes that we will not allow ourselves and those who bear historical responsibility for them to forget.”

“Our memory is a guarantee of peace in the future. If we forget the road to the temples and monuments of that war, expect war. With a sense of pride and confidence in our future, we look at the successors of the generation of victors – patriots who have put on shoulder straps,” Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.

“We know, remember and honor our heroes of the past and present. These are people with pure hearts, sincere love for their native land and their people. In them we see the strength of the Belarusian spirit,” the Head of State said.

According to the President, patriotism and spirituality are inseparable concepts, because all the best things in life begin with love – for family and friends, small homeland, your Fatherland. This is what inspires to serve truly noble goals.

The ceremonial event was attended by Deputy Director for Academic and Scientific Work Dmitry Aleksandrovich Melnichenko and Deputy Head of the Department of State Environmental Expertise Vladimir Ivanovich Gamezo of the State Educational Institution “Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise, Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel” of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus.
