Everyone knows that one of the most important factors influencing the quality of our life, and accordingly health, is the quality of the environment. In order to maintain this parameter at the proper level, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection constantly carries out a range of diverse activities.
Thus, one of the good traditions has become the annual announcement by the environmental protection agency of a spring campaign to clean up the land, improve and green the settlements. The campaign period this year is from March 1 to May 8.
Today, all regions of the country have started cleaning and landscaping activities, and in April, when the ground warms up, young trees and shrubs will be planted in populated areas of Belarus, and new alleys and park areas will be laid out.
Currently, in order to intensify work on restoring order on the land, the Ministry of Natural Resources system is conducting massive control and analytical activities. Particular attention is paid to the condition of territories along railways, right-of-way, roadside strips, stopping points along republican and local highways, publicly accessible areas of settlements, garden associations, garage cooperatives, agricultural enterprises and organizations, and territories of the state forest fund. Compliance with municipal waste management schemes, the condition of container sites, and the availability of containers for separate waste collection are checked.
