Among the participants are not only young people and the younger generation of Belarusians, but also representatives of the leadership of state governing bodies, local authorities and other organizations, deputies. Anyone can join this good initiative.
This event was first held last year from January 3 to 14. Then almost 150 thousand elderly people were covered. Congratulations and gifts were not limited. Volunteers helped to prepare firewood, deliver food, and clear snow from courtyards. Almost 50 thousand lonely and elderly citizens living alone received such practical assistance. During the campaign “From the Heart”, about half a million rubles were spent on strengthening the material and technical base of social service institutions, nursing hospitals and hospices, purchasing medical equipment, sports equipment, household and computer equipment, as well as gifts for the lonely.
