
Today, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Andrei Khudyk paid a working visit to the Vitebsk Region. In the first half of the day, the head of the environmental protection agency took part in a meeting of the Gorodok District Executive Committee on the issue of implementing in the region the requirements of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated March 11, 2004 No. 1 “On measures to strengthen public safety and discipline.”
During the meeting, Andrey Khudyk emphasized the special importance of Directive No. 1 and the need for systematic work in accordance with its standards and requirements. Summarizing the information presented, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources noted the worthy results achieved in this area over two decades.

After the event, the Minister held a mobile reception of citizens, where the Chairman of the Gorodok District Executive Committee, the Director of the State Forestry Institution “Gorodok Forestry” and a representative of the Vitebskvodokanal branch of the Vitebskoblvodokanal UP were also present.
Residents of Gorodok and the village of Smolovka in the Gorodok District addressed the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The applicants were interested in issues of deforestation in the Smolovskoye forestry and the poor quality of water supply in one of the houses on Gagarin Street in Gorodok.
During the reception, citizens were given comprehensive explanations on each individual case in accordance with current legislation. The issues outlined in the appeals were taken under special control of the leadership and authorized services of the region.
