Clause 38 of the Regulation on continuous professional education of executives and specialists, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated 01.09.2022 No. 574, stipulates that heads of organizations ensure direction:
- environmental protection specialists, other employees who are assigned responsibilities for environmental protection and the implementation of industrial observations in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources to obtain education while mastering the content of the educational program for advanced training of executives and specialists as necessary, but not less than once every 2 years;
- managers of the environmental protection service to receive education while mastering the content of the educational program for advanced training of executives and specialists as necessary, but not less than once every 3 years.
Article 53. Requirements for employees, specialists and managers whose activities are related to the use of natural resources and impact on the environment
1. Employees whose activities are related to the use of natural resources and impact on the environment are required to have knowledge in the field of environmental protection and nature management and regularly improve it. When appointing officials and specialists, their certification and re-certification, their knowledge in the field of environmental protection and nature management must be taken into account.
2. Environmental protection specialists, other employees who are responsible for environmental protection and the implementation of industrial observations in the field of environmental protection, rational (sustainable) use of natural resources, as well as managers of the environmental protection service undergo advanced training in the manner established by the legislation on education.
3. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection shall ensure advanced training for the persons specified in paragraph 2 of this article.
