A training session for educators of the Zubrenok NDC was held at the Center

Today, at the state educational institution “Republican Center for State Environmental Expertise, Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel” of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, a training session was held for educators of the educational institution “National Children’s Educational and Health Center “Zubrenok” on the topic “National Parks of the Republic of Belarus”.

From February 24 to March 15, 2024, the educational and health center is holding a shift called “Treasures of My Country: National Parks” for students who have achieved high results in their academic and social work, who are leaders of associations with interests in the ecological and biological profile, and who are engaged in educational and research, socially significant activities in the environmental direction.

The speakers of the event were:

  • Lyudmila Vikentyevna Bartoshevich – Deputy Head of the Department of Biological and Landscape Diversity of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus;
  • Mikhail Viktorovich Maksimenko – Senior Researcher of the State Scientific and Production Association “Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources”;
  • Natalya Alekseyevna Zelenkevich – Leading Researcher of the State Scientific Institution “V.F. Kuprevich Institute of Experimental Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”;
  • Olga Semenovna Smirnova – Junior Researcher of the State Scientific Institution “V.F. Kuprevich Institute of Experimental Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”.

The lecture provided information about the national parks of the Republic of Belarus, which were created with the aim of preserving reference and other valuable natural complexes and objects, studying the animal and plant world, natural ecological systems and landscapes, creating conditions for ensuring the natural course of natural processes.

At the end of the meeting, Lyudmila Vikentyevna Bartoshevich emphasized the importance of involving the younger generation in environmentally friendly initiatives through mentoring in environmental protection, noting that this is an important step towards creating a more responsible and conscious attitude towards the environment.
